The Hogan Family

Dating back to the early 1900s, Truman and Sadie Mayes started their own cattle ranch with a herd of purebred Simmentals and Herefords. They worked hard to buy back all the original Mayes land from family and distant relatives. They were able to put the majority of the land back together over the years and run their cattle on it. Fast forward to 2020, the herd had dwindled down to a few commercial cows and there wasn't much left to remember Daddy Truman.

Joey and Elicia Doc Hogan (Elicia is Truman's great-granddaughter) wanted to bring back the cattle herds on the ranch, while also remembering who started the ranch and herd. Hence our name, Mayes Cattle Company.

Joey and Elicia have two kids, Jeb and Baylee. Jeb married his high school sweetheart, Hope, and they have one son, Hadley. Jeb and Hope have been the leaders behind our superior genetic line of the cattle we now have. We aim to have some of the highest quality cattle within the Simbrah and Simmental industry and with their help, we will achieve such a goal.
